Happy Birthday To Me

Today is my 29th birthday.  My last and final year in my 20's, I better live it up!  My favorite birthday present won't be coming until 11/1/11!
I am 13.5 weeks along and hoping that the second trimester is better than the first!

Happy Easter

Yesterday was a significant day for our family.  Of course it was Easter, but it was also Kyle's dad's birthday, and 6 Easter's ago in March he passed away.  We are grateful for eternal families and the promise that Easter brings to each of us that we have a living Savior.  Even though Michael is named after him, I believe it's Preston who actually looks like his Grampy.  You can't mistake those dark Maori eyes!

We went to my parents house for dinner and and egg hunt.  The kids were doing great for the picture, but we realized we were missing one grandkid, and by the time we got him in the picture this is what happened.  How do people actually take grandkid pictures?
I asked Michael to help me change Preppy's messy diaper, and this is the solution he came up with for holding his hands.  Preston didn't seem to mind too much, and it actually worked.  Michael said a few funny things this weekend.  Here are my favorites:

Yesterday as my sister Natasha was leaving she said goodbye to our Grandma Lybbert.  Michael told her, "she's not your grandma, she's my grandma!"  Natasha told him she was both of their grandma, but Michael wasn't having it.  She gave up explaining and started walking away.  Michael yelled to her as he sat by his Great Grandma Lybbert, "You're just jealous!"

In between spraying the fence and yard work on Saturday, Kyle took Michael four-wheeling. Our neighbor Bobby came over as they were packing up and told Michael, "You are lucky to have such a good dad." Michael without skipping a beat said, "And my dad has a good woman!"

March Madness

I found some great pictures of the boys from March, and I don't feel like putting a caption with each picture, so you're getting the paragraph version.  They had long hair until their daddy cut it all off.  It's finally growing back.  He gave them a major buzz (accidentally, supposedly).  Kyle took Michael fishing with the missionaries and they brought it home and cooked it for lunch...gross, so that's what those pictures are about.  Preston drank paint....which was completely his father's fault for leaving out the paint in a plastic cup because Preston thought it was milk.  I'm just so glad he didn't actually spill it on the carpet.  Major accident miraculously avoided.  I don't think he actually drank it, but he definitely gave it a good attempt.  We had the missionaries over a lot....they requested breakfast for dinner, so that's what they got that night.  Preston got a black eye by pulling his night stand down on his face.  I attempted to take a picture of the boys before church and that was the best we could get.  My favorite the the boys cuddling on the couch and Preston putting his foot on Michael's head.  Let's be honest, the only way we survived March was PBS kids and BYU Basketball (or maybe that's the only way I survived March).  My boys are growing up, and it makes me sad.  I just wish part of growing up meant they were good during Sacrament meeting at church.  I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon!!!
