One of THOSE Days

*If you don't enjoy hearing about throw-up skip this whole post*
Yesterday Michael had one of THOSE days. The type of day where he threw up 20 times, and I'm not exaggerating. He threw up all over himself during his two naps, and didn't even wake up to tell me about it. Just slept in his puke. Gross and sad. He couldn't even keep down Pedialyte, water, or even the medicine I gave him. He didn't have one wet diaper all day, which worried me, but he survived. Through all of this, he didn't cry one time.....it was so crazy, he'd throw up, look at it, and walk away. Before bed Kyle gave him a Priesthood blessing and he hasn't thrown up since. He was so good all day, and would even try to throw up in his bowl (although he only perfected that art at the end of the day). Thank goodness for tile floors, a large capacity washer, leather couches, and a wet/dry vac. On Tuesday Michael was terrible, and I didn't understand why, but now I know it's cause he was getting sick. Kyle also threw up earlier this week.....first time since his mission (lucky him!)

Today he just keeps telling me he's sick, and is laying on the couch. I can already tell he feels better though. He even has been laying on my shoulder.......NEVER HAPPENED in his entire life!

*****NEVER MIND, SINCE TYPING THIS, HE STARTED THROWING UP IN HIS BOWL. AT LEAST HE MADE IT IN HIS BOWL.*******
Preston of course was a trooper, especially since I couldn't pay any attention to him. He is such a sweetie. I'm hoping he doesn't catch it. I've sprayed Lysol on every corner of our house.

Before I Forget

The missionaries came over one day last week and one of them accidentally sat on Michael's $4 tractor and broke a small piece off. Nothing much was said and I didn't think Michael noticed. The next day Michael broke the tractor even more. Three days later the missionaries came over for dinner and Michael comes up to me and says "Harris broke my tractor!" Elder Harris is the name of the missionary.....I had no idea he knew his name, and even knew what happened.

On Sunday I came home from church really sick, and while laying on the couch I told Michael I was sick. His response, "Me cuddle you Mommy?" Of course he didn't want to, but knows how much I would like him to.

Today I got Michael some plain cheerios out and he yelled, "no, that's Preston's cereal!" he wants more flavor, I guess!

This took way too long to post with one hand working.

Another Day, Another Sister's Birthday

What are the odds that my sisters would have their birthdays a day apart? It sure does make it easy for remembering.

Today is my oldest sister Natasha's (aka, Tash, Tasha, and Michael's new nickname for her, Tashy) birthday. Not many people can say they had five adorable children when they were 30, but she most definitely can. I'm trying to catch up, but I got a late start! Natasha is our family's in-house photographer, Photoshop extraordinaire. Have you seen her new banner that she created? So adorable!

Happy 31st Birthday Tash!

P.S. Your present is in the mail

A Happy Birthday and a New Blog

Happy 29th Birthday to my big sister Candace. We are 15 months apart, and growing up I wanted to be JUST like Candace. Who wouldn't want to be 5'10, skinny, organized, and be able to sing?

She also can cook.....check her out at The Cook Next Door

Calling All Decorators, DIY'ers & Designers

I need some serious help here people! I've rearranged my living room a million times, and today I gashed my foot in doing so. Thus, I've decided to quit moving furniture until I get some advice on what looks best. Unfortunately the big wall has a window that is not centered, which complicates my furniture arranging. It looks best if the two couches are centered with each other, otherwise it looks off balance.

Did I mention I'm working on a budget. I've found all of our furniture on Craigslist so far, but I must have been extremely lucky because I've seen squat lately. If I lived in a big city this would be a lot easier. I need some drapes to tie things together (and offset the fact that I painted my room blue and then found blue couches) and I'm thinking some sort of bench underneath the window for seating? Maybe two chairs? Also, I'm trying to find some end tables that go with my furniture with some tall lamps. I'll probably move the brown circle table somewhere else, or at least change out the lamp.

I've mixed modern with classic....if you can't already tell since I have mid-century style couches paired with a classic settee.

Okay, here are some pictures of the room and the furniture. Kyle got me this clock for Christmas, and I'd like it to go in this room. I think it goes well with the black couch, no? Also, I have a piece of large artwork that I'll need to hang somewhere that has some gold, greens and blues in it, and I'm thinking a big family photo.

Okay....give me your opinions!
