To say this summer has flown by is an understatement. We have been busy, busy, busy. With my triathlon, planning our Lybbert Family Reunion, my 10 year class reunion (this weekend), the Mahuika reunion in a couple of weeks (25 people descending on our house in a matter of days..I need to get busy), going to Priest Lake, having company at our house....and that's not even all of it. I've got lots of great pictures to prove it, but I don't feel like posting them, so for now just enjoy this one.

Oh Summer, How I Love Thee...
Do you let your babies swallow the cherry pits? We do. Or should I say, my husband does, so I give in.
Best family picture we've ever taken, seriously. I'm not wearing makeup (no surprise) we're all wearing our scrubbies, we have cherry juice all over our clothes, it was past the boys bedtime, and they both had sweaty nasty diapers. However, that's why we had so much fun! We took a picnic out to the cherry orchard, ate on the grass, got eaten alive, and picked lots of cherries. Thanks Fielding's for the fun time! Shortly after this picture was taken we stripped them down and hosed them off and they went home in their diapers. (and no, I'm not referring to the Fielding's)

The Best Part....
The best part about not nursing anymore, is Preston is STILL asleep and it's 10:25 am. He did go to bed later the normal, but normally he'd be awake at 6 am no matter what time he went to bed. Too bad I was up at 5:00 am, otherwise I could have enjoyed the extra snoozing.
The best part about me jumping in the river at 6:15 am this morning, is that I now know what I'm getting myself into. This coming week is going to be a mental mind game with this triathlon. I can't believe I'm doing it. Was I DYING today during my run through? Yes. Did I finish without stopping (besides transition breaks)? Yes. My ibuprofen just kicked in, so now I'm feeling much better. I had a bad, bad, bad headache (the kind where you have to lay down or you'll throw up.) I have been swimming twice a week, practicing my form, my breathing, etc. That ALL went out the window today as I just tried to survive and finish as fast as I could. That water was shockingly cold. Have you ever ran after riding your mountain bike 12 miles? Not an easy thing to do.
The best part about doing my Make You Over site is that I get to change people's lives for the better and help them see their true beauty. Have you seen Paul's makeover results yet? There will be lots of more pictures posted later today, so check back.

Flying High
Preston is flying high on his birthday. Started the day off with a long morning nap, birthday brunch with my family, then an impromptu trip to the sand dunes to ride four wheelers and go fishing. Now Preston is tucked in bed for nap time, and I'm about to go join him for a quick nap before daddy and Michael get home. Preston is my sweet, laid back baby with mesmerizing brown eyes. More to come on Monday, but for not enjoy these two sweet pictures (he loves his new swing).

They're So Cute When They're Sleeping. When they're awake though....
This picture was taken when my dad dropped off Michael after taking him to Father's and Sons for the evening. Michael must have had the time of his life based on his socks, and how soundly he slept when my dad brought him in the house in his car seat. Kyle was gone for work, so Papa stepped in and gave me the night off. I need another night off, or maybe I need a week off.
Michael and I have been fighting lately, and he is most definitely winning. I'm drained. He started a couple of weeks ago screaming bloody murder at me. I don't know what gets into him, but whatever it is, I need it to stop. I think he still has his ear infection (he had a TERRIBLE one for a month), but we just finished the antibiotics so I'm not sure. I have an appointment for him at 3 today. Unfortunately his dad won't be there to hold him down for me. I want to cry just thinking about it.
I got the blood tests back that I did for his allergies and he has grown completely out of his soy and dairy allergies. That is such great news for us. I never thought that day would come, especially because of how severe he was allergic. The only thing that came back positive for allergies was cranberries. We've been stuffing his face with cranberries for a long time now. Oops.
