Random

I've started a few different posts over the past few weeks, but by the time I get around to posting them, all the information is outdated and I don't feel like updating. Pretty much our life has revolved around weight gain, or the lack thereof. To make a really long story short, the lil' guy is still not gaining weight and still puking all the time. Fun times.

I warned the hubby before church that we would be taking Easter pictures, so he needed to stay in his suit after church. Well, those plans quickly changed before we even got home from church. Lil' guy decided it would be fun to puke all over dad's nice spring suit. He soaked him twice at church, and when I say soaked, I mean puke from head to toe. Then we got home and I thought we'd take one without the puke soaked suit coat, well just when I was getting the camera ready, the baby threw up all over his white shirt and tie. Pretty much everything that he wore to church yesterday is now going to the dry cleaner.

I pulled out my spring/summer clothes, which makes me happy. Why? Because I have a terrible winter wardrobe. My summer wardrobe is much, much better. I stocked up on clothes before we got married. I was living the single life, and working full time, so I could, and boy am I glad that I did. H&M, TJ Maxx, and Anthropologie were good to me. I miss our relationship dearly.

Yesterday was a momentous and sad day for me. Momentous because I didn't eat one piece of chocolate candy this Easter and sad because I didn't eat one piece of chocolate, or the homemade rolls at my Aunt's house, or the carrots that had butter on them. Dang, this diet stinks. I've lost some weight though, so I'll look at the positive. It will have been three weeks tomorrow, and I can't wait to say bye bye to the no dairy, no soy thing. If you're wondering, I haven't seen one bit of difference.

This is my niece. She is the funniest person I've ever met. I love this girl, and I'd love for her to come hang out with me this summer for a week. We'll see if I can talk her mom into it.

The construction is finally almost over, and I couldn't be happier to have my house back. It looks really nice too, and we didn't have to pay for any of it. Ahhhh, the joys of renting from a doctor.
I'm really contemplating throwing out the nicknames I've been using to hide my families identity. It's really annoying to have to come up with a nickname each time. What do you think? Has anyone ever had a real problem with this? I don't ever say where we live, etc, and I'm pretty sure nobody would want to drive clear out where we live to find us anyways.

Oh Boy!

No, we haven't fallen off the face of the earth, but the last few weeks have been a whirlwhind. I feel like me and the little guy have been at the doctor's office or hospital almost every day. We've been trying to get control (not sure if that's possible) of his GERD, and it's consuming all our time and energy. A few weeks ago we went to see the in-law's and came home with the flu and cold bug. Had to take Lil' Chief to the hospital with a high fever that wouldn't break and found out he was still losing weight, so we've been monitoring that, and it just kept dropping. His pediatrican scheduled us to go over to Children's and instead of an appointment, they wanted to admit him to the hospital. So, we just returned from a couple of days over there and can now count our many blessings that we have such a healthy baby compared to all the other kids over there. I now have to take dairy and soy completely out of my diet....oh joy. They think he has GERD, accompanied by a dairy and possibly soy allergy. At this age there is no real accurate test except to have the nursing mom go off of it. The only problem is, I LOVE dairy. I'll look at the positive side and hope that it helps me shed my post baby weight.
My apologies to all those who have called or emailed and I haven't gotten back to you....we've been busy. We came back home to find our house is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. The people we are renting from decided to remodel the downstairs. It's going to look amazing when they are all done, but in the meantine me and the baby are confined to the back room while the crews are in the front of the house.
I know this post is lame, but my creative juices have been zapped for now. Here are some pics of the past few weeks.

Round Two Teen Jeopardy

Remember this post? Well my cousin Will is getting another shot as a wild card in tonight's show. He scored high enough in last week's competition to be chosen as a wild card for this week. So watch him tonight on Jeopardy on NBC. He has already made $10,000 for making it this far. Way to go Will!

Hopefully tonight he won't be bombarded with High School Musical questions like he was last week. Once again, he'll be squaring off against two girls. Check out the lineup here.

*L*O*V*E*

This afternoon as I was sorting laundry, the doorbell rang. A woman from The Flower Shop was standing there. She said, "I have a delivery for you, and it's the largest one we've made all day!" I said, "oh really?!" She quickly ran to get the beautiful bouquet of long stem roses (see picture below), and when handing them to me said Happy Valentine's Day Maureen!
Shoot, if only my name was Maureen and not the lady's upstairs!Due to 'technical difficulties', I'm having to change what I was originally going to do. All my pictures are on our laptop, but I happened to have a few on this computer.
Here are some of my favorite wedding pictures (it's all I've got to pull from).....

Happy Valentine's Day To All I LOVE!

Panic Attack

I'm home alone, having a panick attack. As my husband left for work this morning, he casually mentioned that our laptop was experiencing some technical difficulties and the screen was blue. I said, you mean the "blue screen of death?" He responded, "yes." Not sure if you've ever had a computer experience that before, but it basically means you're toast and so are all of your files. I am a picture FANATIC and have documented every minute of my soon to be 4 month old son's life. Right about now, I'm FREAKING out....all alone. My husband, told me that's not necessary since if they're gone we can't do anything about it, and if they aren't gone, then we're okay. Comforting words on this Valentine's Day.
I'm praying extra hard this morning that our laptop is okay and so are my precious picture files. A word from the unwise....back up all your pictures!
Hopefully I'll be writing a "Happy Valentine's Day" post later on today....it was in the plans until the "blue screen of death" came a knockin' on my door. I also have plans to change my template because I'm not feeling the brown. Also, I put spaces in between my paragraphs and then when I go to publish, it takes the spaces away, does anyone know how to fix that problem? It annoys me on a daily basis.

Laughter, The Best Medicine....Zantac, The Worst

I realize that watching a video of someone else's baby laughing, isn't all that exciting (but I love it), so watch at your own discresion. Also, I realize the noises I'm making are VERY, VERY annoying, but he seemed to like it. He's wearing an outfit that our friend's gave him. They live in Florida, and so this is for them. Notice the shoes are still too big....hopefully when he walks they'll fit.
The Reflux medicine that we have to give him is DISGUSTING (we tested it), and he hates taking it. Whenever we get the dropper near his mouth he closes his lips up tight, and puts up a good fight. I'm very impressed with his abilities to resist. When we finally are able shove it down his throat, he pools it in the back of his mouth and spits it out...just when we think he's actually swallowed! I know some of it is getting into his system because we are experiencing some major runny diapers. If it's not one thing, it's another!

*****Don't forget to watch Teen Jeopardy tomorrow night on NBC at 7:30 PST.*****

Jeopardy Teen Tournament-February 11-22

Have you heard of 17 year old Will Casper from Basin City, WA? Will is my cousin, and if you haven't already seen him featured on the front page of the Tri-City Herald, in the Deseret News , or other publications for that matter, then you still have a chance to see him this coming week on Jeopardy for the Teen Tournament. He will first appear on Wednesday the 13th, and if he does well, he will be on the following week for the finals. Will has grown up idolizing Jeopardy, and watching it nightly. I remember on more then one occassion calling the Casper home around 7:30, and being told that they would call back after Jeopardy was over. Will is a smartie pants. He scored a whopping 35 on his ACT...and I used to wonder who actually got that score, well I think he's my second cousin to achieve that. For those of you that don't know, Teen Jeopardy is very competitive, and he was chosen from THOUSANDS of contestants after taking a test, doing an interview, and who knows what else (I think they even had to go down to Cali for tryouts). There were a few minor setbacks such as Alex Trebeck having a heart attack, Will's team making it to the state football tournament, him almost missing the deadline to enter by literally minutes...just to name a few. This really is a dream come true for him and his family, especially his mom!

Will has already been to California for the tapings, but he and his family are keeping their lips zipped as to how he did. Make sure to tune in next week to see if Will takes home the $75,000 prize!!!!! (He already made $5,000 for making it this far) To see Will's video interview, go Here.
Here is a pic of Will shoving Alex T. up a shark in Universal Studios, can you believe they let him do that, no wonder he had a heart attack? Hahah
